Skies will gradually clear from northwest to southeast overnight tonight, allowing temperatures to drop into the 20s in central Alabama. At least we will have sun this weekend. The highs climb into the low 40s on Saturday afternoon. Saturday night will again be very cold with a low of 20 degrees to start the day on Sunday. RETURN OF THE RAIN The next opportunity for showers will arrive late Monday evening through Tuesday of next week. It looks like temperatures will remain warm enough to sustain any threat of winter weather in our north. A large high pressure dome on the surface will control our weather for the next few days, keeping the area dry until Monday afternoon.
