As the low pressure system heads east, cooler than normal temperatures are left in its wake. An average high for Palm Springs is 72°, but highs will remain in the 60s through the end of the work week.
A Frost Notice will come into effect at midnight for the Inland Empire until 9:00 a.m. Thursday. Temperatures will drop into the low to mid 30s, potentially killing susceptible plants. Palm Springs will also get off to a cold start, albeit with lows in the 40s.

Galeful offshore winds will continue to be felt around the desert on Thursday and Friday, but the gusty winds will not be as punchy as what was felt on Wednesday.

Highs in the 60s will carry us through the work week. The 70s return this weekend and the warming will not persist until next week.
