Cooler, sunny weather on Thursday – 41NBC News

We had another great day in Central Georgia, but we’re going to start to see big changes in the forecast for the weekend.

The high will continue to keep us clear overnight tonight and Thursday with lows dropping into the 30’s.

Tomorrow’s highs will be limited to the mid to above 50s with clouds starting to move in the evening.

The large cold front will begin to move on Friday bringing increased cloud cover and a few isolated showers.

Winds will pick up, gusting up to 25 mph Friday evening.

A large push of arctic air will follow behind the front and settle across the region for the weekend.

We really do not dramatize when we talk about the level of cold of the weekend.

In the graph above you can see the “felt like” temperatures on Saturday morning… so yes, it will be very cold.

For the rest of the day on Saturday, our temperatures will remain in the mid to low 40’s with persistent windy conditions.

We should see a fairly quick recovery in our high temperatures from Sunday as we warm into the 50s.

Next week will be much warmer than this week, with warming up to the mid and above 60s.

Showers will become widespread by the end of the week.
