It’s shaping up to be a wet start to the work week with showers starting in the afternoon and continuing through the evening and into Tuesday morning.
In the meantime, skies will be clear for the early hours of Monday morning with temperatures in the low to mid-30s early in the day.
Temperatures will hit the upper 50s by lunchtime before the showers arrive, but once the rain starts temperatures will level off and even drop into the evening.

Although showers will last most of the afternoon, no major flooding is expected, although some accumulations on low-lying roads are possible.
Since the rain will last all afternoon, the ride will be soggy. You might want to prepare for a slightly slower commute from work.
It will be a solid soak Monday and when all is said and done, Acadiana is looking at maybe a half inch to an inch of rain early Tuesday morning.

The showers will finally start to clear on Tuesday morning, although the clouds will have a harder time dissipating and we won’t see any sun until the afternoon.
With skies clearing Tuesday evening, another dip in temperatures is expected mid-week, with lows falling into the mid-30s and highs remaining in the low 50s on Wednesday.
The rest of the week promises to be fairly calm and another drop in temperatures will arrive by the weekend.
